Description of Work/Assignment: Create a logo based on geometry terms such as lines, points, angles and rays.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
I believe this assignment addresses self directional skills, as it had us use our prior knowledge known in class to create a logo with different terms.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I am most proud of my illustrations that I did on this assignment. They were drawn very neatly and I even got comments from Ms. Marsh saying it was very neat.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?
During this assignment, I was able to improve my communication skills. I was able to ask Ms. Marsh for help when I needed it, and in doing so, I was able to do exactly what she asked of us on this assignment.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
The most difficult part of this task was making room for each symbol. My name is fairly long, but I had trouble adding every term into the spaces.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently?
If I could redo this project, I would have liked to make it more color coded. It would be easier to see each term had it been drawn in distinct colors, but I didn’t have that many materials on hand.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past?
This applies to the geometry vocab we learned previously in class. We had to research certain terms and find out how they applied to different shapes.
How can you apply this to future learning? Because of this project, I can now distinguish lines from rays, and points from planes. This project made it a lot easier to ease into geometry after being in algebra last year.
